Consider yourself welcome to my deviantART-site!

It's been over a year that I wrote an entry in this journal now and I wouldn't be suprised if it was for another year that I'll write something again.

At this point I also haven't submitted a deviation in quite a while (notw: If you're reading this just after a deviation is submitted or something I suggest you just ignore this ; P). This is due to some major activities of which some are also related to photos. For example my photoblog which makes it much easier to publish pictures on a more regular basis whith a fraction of the fuss deviantART causes.

Don't get me wrong: I still think that dA ist a great site and I'm staying here - it's still on my schedule of sites I regularly visit. But I guess from now on I'll just post pictures here that I consider the best of the best (although I mostly did that before too).

Other than that my final exams are drawing ever nearer (another note: if you read this after March 4 2008 I most likely've got my "Abitur") and time becomes an ever more precious good.

Well, anyways: I hope you enjoy what you can find here! I appreciate Comments very much, so if you feel like it: Go ahead : D!

Ooo, yay! A linux person. :P What's your favorite distro? I'm actually going to get a new custom-built PC eventually which I'm planning to use Ubuntu with Compiz-Fusion, WINE, and such. Then again, I was also deciding between Debian Etch or Fedora Core.

But anyway, thanks for the comment!

I use Debian (Etch on my server, Lenny on my Desktop) and am really satisfied.

I tried many distros and I can say that Fedora's not bad either. I personally don't like SuSE, it's terribly cluttered and I don't like Yast and so on, so I went for a very basic Debian install from which I then gradually installed everything I needed. More work, but worth the effort!

If you want to use compiz and so on I think that Ubuntu might not be the worst idea, as it really simplifies things which is good for beginners. Try it, see if you're satisfied, if not, try around. It might be annoying but as there are so many distributions you can hardly but try! Another distro you might want to look at is PCLinuxOS.

There surely are others, but I won't cover distro wars here XD.
